My antivirus detects malware by using SaferVPN software

Updated on: 2017-08-20 11:11:43 UTC

Introduction

SaferVPN is a Virtual Private Network (also known as VPN), that hides one's real IP address and encrypts all the incoming and outgoing data while using the Internet. In this way, the user gets anonymity and safety.

SaferVPN allows you to connect to more than 400+ servers in 30+ countries across the globe and gives you the ability to use remote network resources as though you are physically there. Simply install SaferVPN Software, enter your SaferVPN Username and Password and click the connect button.

Antivirus detects something wrong with SaferVPN Software

As soon as you get connected to a SaferVPN server, your computer is assigned with a new IP address and new DNS resolver. Then, all your Internet traffic is encrypted and tunneled through a SaferVPN server. It is then decrypted and allowed to travel to its intended destination. Your local ISP will only see a single encrypted data stream between you and the SaferVPN server. Your ISP can no longer monitor, log or control your Internet usage and you can bypass your ISP restrictions. Due to this, some anti-viruses are detecting it as dangerous.

Sometimes anti-viruses falsely detect malware in SaferVPN Software, however, it is totally and completely safe to use. In such case, please try completely removing the antivirus software and then installing the SaferVPN software.

Check if any issues continue to persist. However, if the issue still persists please open a support ticket with us and let us know which antivirus it is and we will try contacting them to white-list us if needed.
