Manual OpenVPN Setup on Raspberry Pi device

Before setup, make sure you have:

  1. Raspberry Pi with an active internet connection
  2. Active SaferVPN account

In order to set up SaferVPN on your Raspberry Pi device follow our step by step guide as given below:

Configure the OpenVPN connection

  1. Create a new text file txt on your dekstop and insert SaferVPN Username and password. Username in first line and password in second line.

  2. Download the OpenVPN Configuration file from here, then open the downloaded OpenVPN File and edit the following lines.

    "auth-user-pass" to "auth-user-pass /storage/.kodi/addons/service.vpn.manager/SaferVPN/pass.txtca /storage/.kodi/addons/service.vpn.manager/SaferVPN/ca.crt"

    Your OpenVPN files should look like this, save it.

  3. Now paste this new config into the Raspberry pi Device.
  4. Once this is done copy the certificate and overwrite the ca.crt file.

Once this is done then you can try the connection and it will come straight up online.
